Job Title: General Labourer Assistant – Aquarium Builds and Installations (13/11/2023)

Job Description

We are a high end aquarium manufacturer, we build/maintain glass aquariums, from 8 metre tanks to small off the shelf tanks. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our small team fitting and installing aquariums in the London and surrounding areas.

Duties/ Responsibilities
General workshop fitting, basic woodworking, plumbing, and glass handling. There will be some heavy lifting involved within this role as well onsite work.

Key Skills Required

  • 1 Years experience in workshop training or apprenticeship
  • Accurate oral and written communication skills
  • Workshop and Tool experience

Job Type

  • Full-time, Permanent
  • Salary Negotiable on experience and skill sets
  • Working Location: London Areas.

Job Title: Aquarist – Aquarium Service Engineer (13/11/2023)

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, hardworking Aquarist with a passion for fish keeping. We are looking for one individual to be self-motivated to work on Tropical aquariums in and around the London area.

Duties/ Responsibilities
You will be responsible for maintaining and developing aquarium displays. This post is full time, with some Saturday rota shifts.

Key Skills Required

  • 3 Years experience in fish keeping
  • A good working knowledge of aquarium life support systems is essential including filtrations systems of all types, aquarium sumps and aeration systems.
  • Practical knowledge of water quality management including testing water parameters and how to review and act on results.
  • This is a hands on role and skills in filtration maintenance of life support systems and pumps are beneficial
  • Accurate oral and written communication skills

Job Type

  • Full-time, Permanent
  • Salary Negotiable on experience and skill sets
  • Experience: Aquarium hobbyist or fish keeper of 3 years (Required)
  • Working Location: London Areas.

Additional requirements for application are as follows:

  • You must have a good knowledge of marine fish and coral keeping, so please supply us with your past or present reef aquarium picture/s that you’re proud of
  • Valid UK Drivers License
  • Good knowledge of coral care and water quality management is essential
  • Been able to identify the most common types of fish and marine Invertebrates
  • Good understanding of water quality management
  • Problem identification and understanding of fish health and fish diseases
  • Good liaison skills with staff and customers
  • Good problem solving skills
